Some people are addicted to drugs, some alcohol, and some sex.
Well, not to make light of our good friend and former star of "The X-Files", David Duchovny, but he has decided to check into a rehab to undergo treatment for what doctors term 'sex addiction'.
Duchovny made this statement regarding the issue: "I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction. I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."
Duchovny who is now 48 years old interestingly enough recently won a Golden Globe earlier this year for playing an over sexed struggling writer on Showtime's 'Californication'. Duchovny has been married to Téa Leoni since 1997. They have two children, Madelaine West, 9, and Kyd Miller, 6.
But Duchovny may not be the only person or celebrity dealing with this issue. Angelina Jolie while married to Billy Bob Thornton found out, that Thornton enjoyed sex, alot.
Well it was rumored that Billy Bob had agreed to see a 'sex therapist' regarding the issue, and it was later reported that Billy Bob was also having sex with the therapist. It resulted in Jolie breaking up with him(but that doesnt make Billy Bob a sex addict. Most us may enjoy it at the same speed and frequency as Billy Bob does').
But what exactly, is a Sex Addict?

Sexual addiction is a term used to describe the behavior of a person who has an unusually intense sex drive or obsession and addiction with sex. The behavior of sex addicts is comparable to behavior of alcoholics and [drug] addicts, where sex functions like a drug. A common definition of alcoholism is that a person has a pathological relationship with this mood altering drug.
